Vixen in Vegas is LIVE!

Behind the scenes...

So, I knew you were going to be inundated with posts about Vixen in Vegas.  There are 90 blog signed up for this tour...sharing a lot of the same info with their special way.  This is my way.  I thought I'd give you something you can't get from anyone else...the backstory for the stories you love.

This is how it all began!

In May, I was on a cruise.  It was a week of relaxing, which would have been awesome, except that I don't do that so well.  Instead, I brainstormed.  The idea for Sin at Sea came to me pretty easily.  This wasn't my first cruise.  I had seen the kind of craziness than ensued on a cruise ship.  I don't know if it was the international waters, the sense of freedom, the imagined anonymity...but it made perfect sense to me.  It was the perfect backdrop for a book about a woman wanting to regroup and have a whole lot of no strings fun.  Thus, Sin was born.  And BE...just kind of happened.

It was a what if game.

  • What if the heroine of our story used a random guy to void getting hit on by some loser?
  • What if he has his own reasons for wanting a week with a beautiful, vivacious, intelligent young woman?
  • What if they had these rules to protect their anonymity?
  • What if they regretted it and discovered an unexpected compatibility, and a connection that they never planned for?
Oh...and that's why I HAD to write Vixen in Vegas.

We have all heard that the course of true love never did run smoothly.  That should be true.  If there is no conflict, there's no story, no reason to read, no reason to get invested in the characters.  If nothing else, I wanted you invested in the characters.  I wanted my readers to care.

Yes, I'm biased, but I love this book.  It was completely different from what I thought I was going to write.  It had to be.  I couldn't do something stale.  I needed to make this special and different and better in so many ways.

Sometimes we need to stop rushing through life and Just BE.

For those who have asked...is this it?  Is it all over?

Not exactly.  I have one story left to tell, one character who needs her time in the sun.  I'll be writing Jolie's story next.  We'll start talking about it Thursday at my little release party.  You should come!  Games, prizes, food.  Well, I'll be eating.
